December 2024 — Nearly 2.3 million Americans work in the energy efficiency sector. This workforce shows strong and steady gains, post-pandemic. The new Energy Efficiency Jobs in America report provides granular specifics for these 2,290,179 jobs.

Two of every 5 U.S. energy sector jobs is in energy efficiency in 2024. E4TheFuture partnered with the Building Performance Association to produce this year’s report.

The entire U.S. economy benefits from energy efficiency (EE), as do local and state economics. EE also brings increased health, resilience and comfort while lowering costs for individuals, families, and businesses.
