April, 2024 — In a new partnership with the National Energy Screening Project (NESPTM), the AESP Academy launched a training series on Benefit-Cost Analysis of Distributed Energy Resource Investments using the National Standard Practice ManualTM.
Registration is open for an in-person training certification program July 22-23, 2024 in Toronto, Ontario for those who wish to differentiate themselves from other National Standard Practice Manual (NSPM) practitioners, as jurisdictions increasingly reference and use the NSPM to guide evaluations of distributed energy resources projects and programs.
“Conducting Benefit-Cost Analysis (BCA) for Distributed Energy Resources using the NSPM” will offer an opportunity to earn the NSPM CertifiedTM credential. This will enable practitioners to be well-positioned to apply NSPM guidance to their work.

Through the Association of Energy Service Professionals (AESP), the NESP offers trainings on conducting benefit-cost analyses using the NSPM and on distributional equity analyses. E4TheFuture is the coordinator of the NESP.
