Among other significant accomplishments, he spearheaded the development of the Building Performance Association after serving as a leader of its foundational organizations Affordable Comfort and the Home Performance Coalition. At CSG, Cowell directed organizational management to design and deliver programs targeting efficiency and renewable energy services to residential and commercial buildings in New England, the Pacific Northwest, California, New York, New Jersey, the Southeast and the Midwest. See history and achievements. CSG provided energy and water conservation services to over 3 million residences and facilities.
Cowell serves on the boards of the Building Performance Association and Northeast Clean Energy Council, and has been recognized with dozens of industry awards, honors and media interviews related to his work at CSG and E4TheFuture. He plans to work with Northeast Energy Efficiency Council (NEEC) as a Senior Consultant.
Contemplating his departure from E4TheFuture, Cowell said, “I am proud of the many clean energy accomplishments by CSG and E4TheFuture. I have been honored to lead these organizations and gratified by working with talented colleagues and dedicated partners who helped to transform state and federal energy policies. I look forward to participating in new versions of those collaborations.”
