National Energy Efficiency Day

EEDay2017: Wildly Successful!

October 25, 2017 — The results are in! E4TheFuture’s “Faces of EE” initiative sparked fresh ideas and brought enormous value to the second annual Energy Efficiency Day celebration on October 5th. #EEDay2017 trended nationwide all day, with E4TheFuture among the top twelve “tweeters.” Marketing statistics: total reach 12.3 million; Twitter impressions 21.7 million.

As an official partner, E4TheFuture recruited 16 organizations who joined hundreds of others that signed up. Steve Cowell penned a blog with an embedded 1-minute video United We Work. Although created by the Faces of EE team for EEDay2017, the video contains good news worth sharing every day of the year.

Energy Efficiency Day was established by the Energy Efficiency Communications Network as a high-level conversation about the benefits of energy efficiency. In 2017, the network’s goals included increased participation measured by number of groups participating, volume of social sharing, and traditional media coverage, as well as continuing to build momentum from the inaugural 2016 event.
